Can I buy a dress out of stock or do I have to special order?
Yes, you can buy any dress we have in stock "off the rack".

What is the shipping time on a special order purchase?
Generally, wedding gowns take about 12 weeks plus another week to arrive at our store. Bridesmaid gowns can take anywheres from 2-10 weeks plus another week to arrive at our store. Most companies we work with do offer Rush Production for an extra fee. Rush fee's differ by each company and we will gladly tell you at the time of purchase what your options are.

Do you offer lay-away?
Yes, we are happy to offer a lay-away program. Please inquire for details at the store.

Do you do alterations in house?
We are happy to inform you that Darla Williams has joined our staff as a sales clerk and will be available for alteration help when at the store. We have been recommending Darla for many years and are happy to finally be able to have her here in the store. Alteration prices will still be determined by Darla on an individual basis. Darla is skilled in wedding dresses, prom, pageant, costumes, high school letter jackets, blue jeans, dance, school & military uniforms and much more.

What size should I get?
Bridal sizes differ from regular dress sizes, so it is required to be measured either in our shop or by a trusted seamstress. Depending upon which company you are ordering from, we will determine which size is recommended. It is always recommended to order the size that corresponds to your largest measurement as it is much easier to take a dress in rather than let the seams out. It is very rare that anyone fits perfectly into the size chart and therefore alterations are almost always needed.

Do I need an appointment?
Appointments aren’t required. However, we really like to work with brides one on one. We can’t give you our best level of service if we don’t have a consultant (or a room!) available for you. Quick tip: we know schedules get crazy and it’s tough to plan ahead sometimes; you can always call us the day of to see if we can fit you in.

Do you require a deposit?
A 50% deposit is required at the time of your order and is non-refundable. The balance is due within 10 days of our shop receiving your special order. Down payments differ slightly for items other than dresses.

Do you offer wedding gown cleaning and preservation services?
Yes we do! Just bring your gown to us after the wedding and we will send it off to our professional wedding gown preservation company and they will clean, press and box your gown so it will be preserved for years to come. See store for details!

Are children allowed in the store?
Short answer: yes. Long answer: While children are allowed, please remember that we have big mirrors, some expensive dresses and no children’s play area. We want everyone to enjoy the dress shopping experience, so we recommend bringing someone whose sole responsibility is to watch the children so that the bride can focus on finding the perfect dress (and so her trusted advisors don’t miss a minute of the fun!).

Can we take photos?
Yes—this should be a memorable day, and we love being a part of the wedding scrapbook!

What is your refund policy?
We’re unable to issue refunds due to the uniqueness of each dress. In some cases, your monies are able to be applied toward the purchase of another gown within the store. This final sale policy is consistent with the industry standard for bridal and formal wear.

What do I need to bring when I come in?
The most important thing to bring is an open mind. We’ll try lots of styles and totally ignore sizes (they don’t really matter, anyway!)—we’re more interested in finding a dress that makes you look and feel beautiful.

You’re welcome to bring in photos of dresses that you think you’d like to try on. We may not carry that exact dress, but chances are good we have something very similar.

Some brides prefer to wear a strapless bra. If you want to try on fitted (mermaid, trumpet) or flowy, beachy, chiffon wedding dress styles, you may want to wear a slimmer/tummy sucker/Spanx-like thing if you don’t have one, no worries….we sell Spanx right here at the store. Quick tip: If you require help with the gowns please keep in mind that our hands may be under your dress and up there so wear undies you’re comfortable in!

You may want to put on a little makeup (if that’s normal for you) and do your hair, so you can better envision how you’ll look on your big day. You don’t need to bring special shoes (we have platforms to stand on).
